OBJECTIVE OF THE
COURSE
Every product manufactured in the industry from food
and pharmaceutical products to engineering, health care and cosmetics products
require packaging to protect and sell the product. Almost every firm that makes
a physical product has a packaging department with significant individuals
engaged specifically in packaging technology and applied engineering and thus
Packaging graduates are in huge demand. Packaging sector creates a situation
where it provides 100 % placement rate.
The number of potential jobs for graduates and careers
available with a background in packaging is driven by not only the uniqueness
of the skills learned by the students but also by the fact that there are very
few places to learn the skills necessary to design and develop package systems.

related to all aspects of packaging and printing materials, machines and
process technology of paper, plastic, glass, metal, ancillary materials, bio
based packaging, composites, pallets, ink, stacking load in ware house
packaging, flexible, rigid semi rigid and sustainable packaging design,
ergonomics, marketing, branding, shelf life study, Nano material for packaging,
life cycle analysis, recycling, circular economy, shelf life study, costing of
packaging materials, printing, graphical design, advertising, labelling,
regulations. Packaging of food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetic, beauty care,
perfumes, drugs, chemicals, medical goods, testing methods, standard and
specification, Industrial and chemical packaging, Hazardous packaging,
transport packaging, logistic and supply chain packaging management, management
subjects such as production planning and control, total quality management,
industrial engineering, materials management, marketing and financial management
are also covered.
ELIGIBILITY
- Fresh Graduate / Graduate in Science /
Engineering / Technology who have completed their education in the following
area of specialization from recognized university or AICTE approved institution
with minimum second class.
- B. Sc. - Chemistry, Physics,
Mathematics, Statistics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Life Sciences, Material
Science, Bio-Technology, Zoology, Botany, Agricultural Sciences, Horticultural
Sciences, Veterinary sciences, Dairy science, Food Science & Applied
Nutrition, Electronics, Environment Science, Polymer chemistry / science,
Fishery Science, Nano Science.
- B. Pharm. Courses or 3 year B. Sc. in
Pharmaceutical sciences
- B .Tech. / B.E. Courses – Chemical,
Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil, Bio Chemical / Bio Technology, Food
Technology, Pulp & Paper Technology, Plastics Technology, Polymer
Technology, Oils & surfactants Technology, Computer Tech / IT, Agricultural

- Candidates appearing in the final year
of the qualifying examinations can also apply, however they must submit their
result/provisional result (as given by university) latest on the day of the
personal interview and selection, as without their degree result, student are
not eligible to appearing for personal interview and will be eliminated from
the admission process.
AGE LIMIT
- Maximum age of 30 years as
on 31/05/2025 with age relaxation of 03 years for OBC and 05 years for
SC/ST are eligible to apply.
TEACHING METHOD

presentation skill development, communication skill development, laboratory experiment
on quality check of package & packaging materials, Industrial visit, attending
